Wellbeing Massage for Everybody

Davenport, Stockport

About Me
I am qualified in Swedish full body, back, neck and shoulder massage and have extended by practice to include pregnancy and oncology clients. I completed my oncology training at The Christie Manchester. I am currently undertaking my training in Level 4 Sport Therapy.

I developed my love for holistic therapies especially massage when I lost my vision. Massage had a very positive effect on my well being as it helped me to relax and feel more positive. When I was studying for my A-Levels I did my initial training in massage and practiced on family and friends. I loved the practical aspect of massage and how it made people feel and from the positive feedback I received it gave to desire to pursue this as a career and continue with my training in holistic therapies.

Therapies Offered by Me:
Swedish Massage which helps to ease muscular strain by flushing out toxins, improve circulation by increasing oxygen flow in the blood, help to keep ligaments and tendons supple, reduce emotional and physical stress.
Pregnancy Massage performed during pregnancy can reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression, relieve muscle aches and joint pains, and improve labor outcomes and newborn health. Swedish Massage is the recommended massage method during pregnancy because it addresses many common discomforts associated with the skeletal and circulatory changes brought on by hormone shifts.

Oncology Massage is the modification of existing massage therapy techniques in order to safely work with complications of cancer and cancer treatment. Anyone who has ever received cancer treatment, from those in active treatment to those in recovery or survivorship, as well as those at the end of life, are best served by a massage therapist who has received training in oncology massage. Essential aspects of an oncology massage therapist’s skill set are an informed understanding of the disease itself and the many ways it can affect the human body; the side effects of cancer treatments, such as medications, surgery, chemotherapy and radiation; and the ability to modify massage techniques in order to adapt for these side effects, as well as for the disease. It is recommended that you check with your oncology specialist or GP before commencing treatment.
Sports Therapy is a form of massage involving the manipulation of soft tissue to benefit a person engaged in regular physical activity. Soft tissue is connective tissue that has not hardened into bone and cartilage; it includes skin, muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia.

Sports massage is designed to assist in correcting problems and imbalances in soft tissue that are caused from repetitive and strenuous physical activity and trauma. The application of sports massage, prior to and after exercise, may enhance performance, aid recovery and prevent injury.

I am currently participating in a Level 4 Sport Therapy training and offering sports massage at a reduced rate of £20.00.
