At inner health clinic, we offer a range of therapies to really get to the route cause of your issue. We help people recover from debilitating symptoms affecting their general health and wellbeing. We work with a team of practitioners and regularly cross refer to ensure the best possible treatment for each individual. If you’re suffering with a chronic condition, an initial investigative consultation is needed to determine the route cause. This takes about an hour and a half.

During this time a medical questionnaire will be discussed and a 7day food diary analysed. These would be sent to you to complete ahead of your appointment. We use a combination of Nutrition Therapy and Wellbeing Coaching to address both the physical and emotional aspects of chronic conditions

 

Nutrition Therapy

We use Nutrition Therapy instead of the current medical model to get to the route cause of chronic conditions. Rather than the ‘pill for an ill’ approach, we take the approach of spending time to find out what is truly causing the breakdown in a person’s health. We then go about fixing it using ‘food as medicine,’ alongside nutraceuticals, rather than pharmaceuticals. Nutraceuticals are natural, derived from natural foods and herbs, as opposed to synthetic drugs the body struggles to detoxify and generally have side effects.

WellBeing Coaching

Well-being coaching is focused on addressing the 8 elements integral to health. Understanding how these areas could be affecting a person’s health, allows for measurable steps to be taken to achieve health, wellbeing, inner peace and happiness.

The aim of well-being coaching is to facilitate a state of clarity and awareness around beliefs and behaviours to create real and measurable improvements in a person’s health and well-being. Coaching helps people look at where they are and where they want to be, and then closes that gap.

Colonic Hydrotherapy

Colonic hydrotherapy is not a new therapy. Washing the colon with water dates back to Egyptian times. Infact colon cleansing was first recorded in an Egyptian medical papyrus dated as early as 1500 B.C. The Egyptians used colon washes to treat a diverse range of diseases.

With the rapid advancement of pharmaceutical approaches to treating various conditions, natural forms of healing, including colon cleansing had suffered a temporary setback. However, the pharmaceutical industry has failed to deliver an effective solution to many digestive complaints, such as malabsorption, diarrheoa, constipation, bloating, candida infections, dysbiosis, intestinal discomfort, which are all too often termed IBS.

The purpose of the treatment is to achieve optimal bowel function through the removal of excess waste, toxins, bacterium and gas. Colon therapy also exercises the colon which results in improved absorption, assimilation and elimination which is instrumental in maintaining the health and wellbeing of the body and mind. As we house 80% of or serotonin, our ‘happy’ hormone in our gut, having a healthy gut really can alter the way we feel in a positive way.

Inner Health Yoga

The focus here is to bring about a profound state of wellbeing, by incorporating a regular yoga practice into your weekly routine. Yoga brings about a sense of calmness and inner peace. Connecting mind, body and soul. Yoga is absolutely for everyone. If you can’t touch your toes, ‘the common reason most people say they can’t do Yoga’ you really do need to do Yoga! Yoga will gentle and effectively give you a strong, supple body. But just as Rome wasn’t built in a day, it takes time, and repeated practice to achieve this. Remember the strongest trees take the longest time to grow. At Inner Health Yoga we differ from conventional ‘stretch classes’ you may have tried at the gym. The focus here is to nurture and nourish the body. To bring awareness to problems we encounter and put steps in place to bring about changes to health and wellbeing. Yoga should be part of everyones wellness programme. We do classes to suit all abilities, the main onus being to encouraging wellness.
